Caring For The Children

We partner with other nonprofits, agencies, clubs, neighborhoods, and individuals to ensure a great healthy start to life, for the youngest in our community.

  • We provide diapers from the Diaper Bank as well as the public.

  • New mothers receive layette baskets with receiving blankets, baby clothes, bottles, bibs, newborn diapers, and all the other infant necessities, including parenting materials and magazines.

  • In our Food Bank, mothers and fathers have access to baby food and formula.

  • The Tucson Chapter of the Linus Project provides us with thirty handmade quilts each month in a variety of sizes for the smallest newborn to the grown up teenager who still enjoys the comfort and security a special blanket offers.

  • Several area sewing groups regularly make new clothes for our kids, and lap blankets for our adults: Sun City Casa Amigas and Creative Hands at Vista de la Montana United Methodist Church

  • Community Book Drives bring in gently used and new children's books for us. Each child gets a book every month, to ensure all have an opportunity to read.

  • The wonderful Golden Goose Thrift Shop gives us the children's clothes that come in from donors, and they pass along any extra clothing inventory they have in other sizes so we can share those with all our clientele free of charge.

Shop Our Loving Threads Boutique In Catalina

Income qualified clients can shop once a week,

to take advantage of our revolving inventory of

high quality donated and new clothing.

[Enroll in advance at our main office.]

Monthly and yearly limits are set for each type of item

in our custom database to ensure all shoppers have an opportunity to find their particular size and favorite styles.

We carry all the basics and a large assortment

of shoes, hats, scarves and accessories, as well as

job attire, winter coats, and bathing suits.

Babies often outgrow their clothes before they have a chance

to wear them many times, so we typically have a large

supply of cute fashionable clothes for our youngest set.

Toddlers and older children often wear out their school

and play wear, especially as siblings pass down clothing

and parents share what is left with family and neighbors.

We are always in need of children's clothes, and often purchase new socks and underwear for kids.

A corner area offers household linens when available.

There you you may find bed linens, pillows, towels,

lap blankets, napkins, placemats and other items.

Through our partnership with Golder Ranch Fire District,

clients may pick up a coupon for free smoke alarms,

which the Fire Department will install at no charge.

Our Loving Threads Clothing Bank is on Oracle Road in the Catalina Pointe Shopping Mall, where you'll see Carlota's Mexican Restaurant at the road. Finding us is easy. We share an entrance to the mall with Tractor Supply.

Pull in that driveway and make a left, then immediate right to head down the access area behind the mall. Ours is the last door on that side of the building: #150 - with large signage and our logo.

You won't miss it!
